Amarnath Yatra 2023 to Commence from July 1, Registration Starts Next Week

There is good news for tourists who want to visit Amarnath Cave in Kashmir. Now pilgrims and tourists can start planning for Amarnath Yatra registration dates 2023 have been announced, This year in 2023, the Amarnath Yatra will start on July 1 and will end on 31 August.
Amarnath Yatra 2023 registration is going to start on 11 April for online and offline modes. The yatra in 2023 will be of 62 days. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha announced this news.
Two routes for Amarnath Yatra
The Amarnath Yatra 2023 is scheduled to start simultaneously from two routes – Pahalgam and Baltal. The route to Amarnath Cave is much longer but easier. The route starts from Pahalgam base camp to Chandanwari (16 km), Chandanwari to Sheshnag (13 km trek), and Sheshnag to Panchtarni (4.6 km trek). From Panchtarni, you can reach Amarnath Cave after a walk of 2 km. This route takes around 3 to 5 days for a one-way trip.
The Baltal route is shorter but more difficult. It will take only 1 or 2 days for a round trip to Amarnath Cave. The route is Baltal to Domali (2 km), Domali to Barari (6 km trek), Barari to Sangam (4 km trek), Sangam to Amarnath Cave (2 km walk).
Compulsory registration for Amarnath Yatra
The pilgrims have to register themselves before going for Amarnath Yatra 2023. They can get Yatra Permits from registration centers and approved banks. Tourists who want to go for Amarnath Yatra 2023 will have to download the Registration Form, which is available on the online portal of Amarnath Shrine Board and attach all the necessary documents for registration.
They will have to do a compulsory health checkup and will have to get the Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) from a doctor.
Those who are doing online Amarnath Yatra registration will have to pay Rs.100/- as Registration Fee. If you are doing offline registration you will have to attach Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC), Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, and other personal ID proof.
Online Darshan and Live Telecast
For tourists worldwide, the Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has made arrangements for online darshan of live morning and evening aarti. The tourists can also use the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra app to get real-time info about the Amarnath Yatra 2023 like weather, guides, and other services.
Facilities during Amarnath Yatra 2023
Healthcare facilities and services will be improved for tourists this year along the Amarnath Yatra routes. Free-of-cost battery car service will be introduced in the Baltal Domel route. Telecom services will be improved for tourists along the Yatra routes two weeks before the Amarnath Yatra begins.
Sanitation and waste management services will be improved and great care will be made to maintain cleanliness in yatra camps and yatra routes.

Amarnath Yatra takes place in the Anantnag district in Kashmir. The ice formation in this cave is in the form of a shiv linga, which is formed naturally without a man or woman. The cave is situated very high in the Himalayan mountains at an altitude of 3888 m 12756 ft).
Amarnath Cave has a maximum height of 40 m (130 ft.) and is a wonder of nature. It is 100 feet wide and 160 feet long. It is one of the famous pilgrimage sites in India.
